Job Description
Maintenance coordinator is responsible for planning, scheduling, stocking inventory and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure optimal functionality and safety.The role is essential to ensure that all the equipment and infrastructure is maintained efficiently and effectively.Required outputs : functional
Develop and create maintenance schedules for equipment and facilityCoordinate repairs and maintenance work of surface Mobile Manufacturing UnitsCreate and assign maintenance work orders of 65 Mobile Manufacturing UnitsIdentify and priorities maintenance needs based on operational requirementsEnsure that maintenance tasks are completed on time and to the highest quality standardManage and track maintenance requests, work orders from inception to completionMaintain inventory and ordering of spare partsOversee maintenance supplies inventoryEnsure that tools, parts are available to complete maintenance tasks efficientlyTrack common failed parts and develop a replenishment strategy for spare part managementManage inventory spares to be value of R5 million randsEnsure that maintenance operations comply with the OHS ACT and Mine Health and SafetyEnsure compliance with safety regulations and company policiesDevelop and implement maintenance procedures and protocolsAssist in conducting site audits for safety, compliance and operational readinessCritical assessment of maintenance operationsIdentify opportunities for improvement using data-driven decisionsCommunicate with other departments on scheduled maintenanceEnsure that maintenance logs are updatedSupport the Engineering Services Superintendent with maintenance logsCompare invoices to the requested work and address discrepanciesLiaise with contractors to ensure services are performed as requiredMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities and costsPrepare reports on maintenance status and budgetQualifications & Experience
Minimum : National Diploma, B-Tech & BSc Electrical or Mechanical engineeringMinimum : 3-5 years Maintenance planningAdvantageous : Technical knowledge of Mobile Manufacturing UnitsExperience working with OEMs and third-party contractorsIn-depth knowledge of engineering principles, standards and maintenance management systems (CMMS, SAP PM) in a manufacturing environmentClosing Date
