Our client is a boutique discretionary fund management (DFM) business that is on a growth trajectory, building their business. Hence, a new role has arisen for an Investment Analyst to join their team to fulfil a variety of functions within the investments consulting division. The individual will report to the Head of Investment Consulting, and the core role will cover investment related focus areas across their business where they cover a wide range of local and offshore funds and most investment markets. In addition, the role has a specialisation focus on Investment Consulting. This function supports their client servicing requirements through provision of technical investment support across the spectrum of the industry.
A key element here is consulting support to the IFA clients with respect to High-Net-Worth investors where they assist with portfolio reviews, and the development of investment solutions for clients. This is an excellent position in which to develop high end technical skills and expertise, and at the same time develop practical industry knowledge in the private wealth sector. While the role is primarily investment centric and suits a technically proficient candidate, there is an important need for strong communication and interpersonal skills as well, much needed when building credibility with a client.

Minimum requirement : a Commerce or Business Science Degree qualified from a reputable institution.Beneficial : CA (SA), CFA, MBA, CFP5-10 years of experience in the financial services industry, preferably in investment management. Wealth management experience is relevant as it relates to the focus of the role, however the main focus is on investments.Strong understanding of investments (funds, markets, products)Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Ability to work independently within high pressure time frames.To apply for this role please send your CV to
