Labor

• Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to planlayout and procedures.
• Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based onrequirements.
• Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cutmaterial with powered saws to match measurements).
• Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded.
• Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces.
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment invarious positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead).
• Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps.
• Ensure that each jobcard is closed off timeously.
• Ensuring that allelectrical equipment is in safe working order in line with current regulations.
• Responding quickly toany emergencies.
• Working within apreventive maintenance program that will minimize service repairs in the longrun.
• Ensure that the jobis complete as per job card requirements.
• Make recommendationsfor continual improvement and support improvement
• initiatives thecompany undertakes.
• Anyother reasonable task that may be required by management
