Overview

Reports to : Chief Financial Officer Business Unit : Xina Solar One (Pty) Ltd - ENGIE subsidiary (40%) Period : Full-Time Local Employment Agreement Location : Bryanston, Johannesburg South Africa Xina Solar One is a MW Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) plant using parabolic trough technology with approximately 5-hours of molten salt storage, located in the Northern Cape.

It operates under a 20-year Build, Own and Operate (BOO) Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Eskom.

Shareholders include IDC, GEPF, Xina Community Trust, and ENGIE.

Job purpose The Senior Financial Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with tax, regulatory, and reporting requirements.

This includes analyzing financial data and preparing key reports and insights to internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Reporting : Prepare reports for Board, Lenders, Shareholders, and Eskom / DoE.
• Track covenants, debt service, and distributions.
• Ensure timely and accurate statutory and internal reporting.
• Tax and Accounting : Maintain accurate project accounting records and ensure IFRS compliance.
• Prepare monthly management accounts (incl. quarterly forecasts / financial statements).
• Liaise with auditors and prepare / review annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with tax, legislative and statutory requirements.
• Lead automation and reporting improvements Treasury.
• Review and process local and international payments.
