Job Description
Application Deadline : 24 September 2025
Department : Finance
Description : Allied Talent Partners (ATP), a Three Cairns Group initiative, is a mission-driven, not-for-profit talent marketplace focused on solving the human capital bottlenecks slowing down sustainable development efforts in emerging economies, with an initial focus on Africa. ATP connects vetted, experienced, context-relevant professionals to high-impact opportunities in energy access and sustainable development – strengthening local capacity and fuelling economic vitality. We specialize in fixed-term, deliverable-driven engagements – from interim leadership and generalist projects to niche technical expertise – handling project scoping, talent vetting and matching, contracting, payroll, and compliance so that our clients can focus on impact.
High-Level Overview
Client : The client is a Southern African renewable energy business, headquartered in South Africa, driving sustainable power generation and contributing to Africa's clean energy transition by developing, financing, building, and operating utility-scale and distributed generation projects across wind, solar, storage, hybrid, and gas-to-power. With a strong track record in project development and asset management, the company is actively expanding its distributed generation and M&A portfolio to strengthen its role as a leading clean energy platform in the region.
Project : They are seeking two Analysts – one dedicated to Distributed Generation (DG) and one to Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A). Both roles will support origination, structuring, and execution of projects and transactions, while working closely with senior team members. This is a dynamic opportunity that provides hands-on exposure to financial modelling, due diligence, project finance, and deal execution, and will play a key role in advancing the company's 400 MW / year financial close target and long-term 1.6 GW pipeline.
The ideal candidates will bring 3–5 years' experience with a strong preference for backgrounds in renewable energy or Independent Power Producers (IPPs). Candidates from investment banking, corporate finance, or lending institutions will also be considered, provided they have demonstrable exposure to renewable energy transactions. Successful candidates will be commercially astute, capable of understanding and adapting financial models, and motivated to deepen their technical expertise. A passion for renewable energy and the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders – from financiers to developers – will be key to success.
