- The SA Steelworks Engineering department currently has a vacancy for a detail orientated, process-driven, organized individual to join their team. This position requires someone who is able to work in a fast paced, demanding and pressurized environment.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to :
Facilitate and participate in downtime capturing and analysis of machinery and equipmentCCMS management (C-works) – New Asset entry, loading PM task lists, Scheduling and releasing PM cards, Addressing Work Order delays, etc.Provide training to new staff members on C-works and its operationGenerating WO Aging and Productivity ReportsAssist Team Leaders in ensuring utilization and productivity targets are metProcess mapping of Critical Engineering ActivitiesWriting and revising SOP’sAssist with Stoppage day and Shutdown PlanningStoppage day and Shutdown task management across different departments – Critical path managementProvide feedback and implement corrective action on task completion / startup gapsAssist Team Leaders with Non-stock spares managementFacilitate non-stock inventory conversion to stock sparesOptimize time utilization on repeat maintenance activitiesManage and develop Asset information files for both Rolling Mill and MeltshopUpdate KPI Boards in Engineering officeIdentify and address Safety and System related deviations in EngineeringAbide by the regulations as set out in the Occupational Health and Safety ActParticipate in RCA sessions and assist with implementation of corrective actionsQualifying Criteria
Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalentSuitable qualification / certification in a trade and / or business administrationValid driver’s licenseMinimum of 5 years relevant working experience in a similar roleMust be fully Computer literate (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook)Must have Strong proven administrative skillsExperience working with an Electronic Maintenance systemKnowledgeable on the Occupational Health & Safety ActSound communication skills (understand, read and write English)Must be prepared to work overtime when requiredQualifying Attributes :
