Job description

SCOPE OF WORK

  • Provide technical expertise in built engineering disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, structural, and quantity survey, among others.
  • Offer project management expertise for all infrastructure projects, including Opex and capex.
  • Responsible for conducting quality assurance and signing off on all work completed by the facilities management service provider.
  • Responsible for recommending payment for all invoices submitted by the facilities management company.
  • Oversight of all work carried out by the facilities management company across the three sites in Pretoria and Cape Town.
  • Provide regular status reports to management.
  • Ensure full implementation and compliance with built regulations and contractual obligations between the entity and the facilities management service provider.
  • Collaborate effectively with infrastructure associates and management levels.
  • Collaborate with the facilities management company and management to establish project goals, objectives, and timelines.
  • Monitor project progress, identify deviations from plans, and recommend corrective actions to keep projects on track.
  • Manage project risks and issues, taking appropriate actions to mitigate them.
  • Track and manage project expenditures to ensure projects stay within budget.
  • Provide leadership and direction to project team members and stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Ensure all projects follow standard operating procedures, policies, and guidelines.

Requirements

  • Qualification in the built environment (Engineer, Architect, Quantity Surveyor)
  • Qualification in project management
  • Minimum of five years of relevant experience
