Key Responsibilities
- Regularly monitor and report on key performance indicators such as cost per mile, load-to-truck ratio, and driver efficiency
- Monitor the status of shipments and truckloads in transit to ensure they arrive on time and provide status updates to customers
- Transport Planning& Coordination
- Executes planning and scheduling vehicles / trucks for local deliveries
- Track shipments in real-time to ensure on-time delivery
- Capture and verify transport data on the system (e.g. trip sheets, PODs, fuel usage)
- Support adherence to company transport policies, SOPs and safety standards
- Report and document incidents and accidents
- Communicate with drivers regarding schedules, documentation, and operational updates
- Liaise with internal departments (Finance, Warehousing) and external service providers
- Provide support to clients on queries
- On-time departure and delivery rate
- Maintain and update the Combined Load Register daily to ensure accurate tracking of loads
- Provide assistance during leave periods, ensuring responsibilities are managed effectively
- Due to the nature of the role, the individual may be required to work outside of normal operating hours as and when business needs arise
Qualifications
MatricDegree / Diploma in Logistics / Transport Management(advantageous)Experience
