We are looking to recruit a Senior Shrinkage Analyst to work within the Inventory department of Clicks Group Services. The role will be based at Clicks Head Office in Cape Town and will report to the Finance Manager (Inventory). The role will require management of small staff component of 2-3 staff members; thus comprising a combination of detailed work, reviewing of work performed by others and maintaining summary analysis.
Job Purpose :
To focus on the shrinkage inventory risk area by performing weekly and monthly accounting control procedures in order to eradicate paper shrinkage.
Job Objectives :
- To determine the theoretical stock per location by performing certain completeness and cut-off procedures on the financial systems.
- To liaise with inventory contacts in brands and locations in order to obtain information from the different locations.
- To ensure that the financial documents are processed accurately in the financial ledger in order to capture paper shrink corrections identified in the shrinkage process.
- To determine exceptions and trends in the various shrinkage inventory risk areas after implementation of wall-to-wall and perpetual stock takes and communicate these to the brands.
- To review shrinkage calculations performed by members of the inventory team on a weekly basis and provide summaries and analysis of the shrinkage figures.
- Manage the weekly distribution of work between the shrinkage team
- To perform ad-hoc inventory functions, for example correction of store / DC finger errors, etc.
- To deliver weekly shrinkage reports to the business in line with Service Level Agreements.
Education and Experience :
Accounting I at tertiary level (essential).3 to 5 years retail financial and administration working experience.Job related knowledge and skills :
