Quality Assurance :
Be able to operate all QA devices according to the test methods such as gas chromatography device (GCD), moisture analyser, iV measurement, COD testing etc.Generate, analyse and report measured values, escalate them correctly and derive actionsManage quality complains (internal / external)In case necessary - block production lot's and define rework proceduresEnsure that quality procedures are followed throughout the complete productionCooperate with the Production department to ensure quality compliant productionQuality Management :
Establish internal procedures for 5S, Health & Safety within the Quality department and support it throughout the plantPrepare yearly internal and external Audit planning and take part in audits (e.g. FSSC22000)Establish required quality management systems and ensure the maintenance and improvement of the system.General :
Take ownership and ensure continuous compliance by being a role model of the ALPLA cultureSupport the plant quality level by increasing quality awareness with QA knowledge and trainingsManage the Quality team including recruitment, training need assessment, skill development, disciplinary actions, performance evaluation, shift handover etc.Knowledge in handling of chemicals necessary for the tests and operating devices such as gas chromatography device, moisture analyser, iV measurement device etc.Basic chemical understandingBeing familiar with standards such as FSSC22000, ISO90001 etc. and performing audits internal and externalWhat makes you great
Formal qualification and degree related to quality, chemistry or similar.Minimum of 3 years' experience in quality assurance and quality management in an international manufacturing company, preferably in plastic recycling, plastic industry or food packaging or comparable industry with conveyors, extruder and similar equipment in production.Familiar with monitoring and analysing measured values over time and derive actions.Deep understanding of production performance metrics, 5S and Health & Safety practices.Professionalism and dedication to excellence in customer care.Ability to work independently to tight deadlines and proactive in solving problems.Willingness to work in a challenging environment.Proficiency in English and Zulu language as well as strong interpersonal skills.What you can expect working with us
