Key Performance Areas
Sales
- Selling product to clients using a diagnostic and relationship selling approach, which is core to the Company’s sales process. It is expected that the Company’s sales process will be followed.
- Identifying new business opportunities and clients through prospecting via networking, event attendance, research, promotion, asking for referrals and mining the store’s database.
- Keeping regular contact with existing clients to form sustainable relationships; it is not acceptable to only phone a client to make a sale.
- Continually honing product, operational, economic and political knowledge to stay up to date with global developments that affect positioning of the Company’s product.
- Keeping up to date with pricing and product developments.
- Handling of cash, credit cards, bank transfers and cheques in accordance with the Company policies and regulations.
- Providing excellent client service as per Company standards and procedures; following up after a sale is vital to meet Excellent Client Service standards.
Manning of a Store
Manning of a store, ensuring that the store is open and trading at the specified mall hours.Ensuring that the store is clean and organised to represent the brand of the Company.Providing a superior client service experience during face-to-face, telephonic and e-mail interactions.Ensuring health and safety standards are adhered to, including hygiene throughout the facility, detecting and reporting any security risks, and maintaining preventative health and safety measures for staff and visitors.Stock
Conducting stock counts as per procedures and standards.Ensuring stock policies & procedures are followed consistently.Safeguarding stock and ensuring merchandise is attractively and accurately displayed.Administration and Compliance
Filing, general administration and assisting in store efficiency as required.Adhering to legislation and company policies (Consumer Protection Act, 2nd Hand Goods Act, Financial Intelligence Centre Act (FICA), Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), Occupational Health and Safety policies, and the Company’s Trade Exchange Policy and procedures).Capturing information on the Company’s CRM system according to standards and procedures; capturing leads and opportunities is essential.Ensuring that transactions occur in accordance with Company standards and procedures.General
Safekeeping the Company’s assets and client assets provided to the store.Maintaining a neat and tidy store per procedures and standards.Wearing the incumbent’s name badge in the store.Adhering to operational policies, standards and procedures.Carrying out any other duties that may reasonably be expected within the scope of the position.Additional Requirements
To use quiet times in the store to :Source and research information on the internet / LinkedIn to find new clients.
Phone new potential clients or research clients to market the Company’s products and secure business.Review clients’ assets to identify gaps and opportunities to contact relevant clients with suggestions.Check and update any admin or compliance documents / procedures that are outstanding.Maintain high awareness to notice and respond to fraudulent or suspicious behaviour while interacting with clients and observing the store’s surroundings.Critical Success Factors
