Job descriptionComplete management of production activities : planting, pruning, irrigation, nutrition, pest, and disease control, and harvesting procedures Daily management of a large and diverse team of farm workers with an emphasis on training and productivity Maintaining good management practices, accuracy in record keeping, cost control and preparation for audits Monitoring and maintenance of infrastructure and equipment Liaison with owners / stakeholders on production, outputs, and strategic planning
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Tertiary qualification in agriculture, horticulture or Agronomy would be an advantage
- At least 3 years of relevant experience, including team management
- Strong technical knowledge in IPM, fertilization practices and irrigation
- Good administrative and computer skills (MS Office especially Excel)
- Must be someone with a central interest and commitment to sustainable agriculture has
- Must have a keen eye for detail and plant health, to assess and manage it carefully
- Emotionally intelligent, performs well under pressure and adapts well to changing circumstances
- A natural leader who pursues discipline and operational excellence
