Introduction

We are looking for a hardworking, ambitious, energetic, and self-driven Sage X3 developer with a proven track record in developing and implementing Sage X3 ERP solutions. You should have a keen interest in technological advancement, software development, and the implementation of software business solutions. This might be the ideal opportunity for you.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Actively participate as a member of the development team in both core and custom development projects delivered to customers.
  • Interpret written business requirements and technical specification documents.
  • Perform coding according to written technical specifications.
  • Investigate, analyze, and document reported defects.
  • Perform maintenance programming and correction of identified defects.
  • Document the technical solution before, during, and after the delivery of the scope to consultants and customers.
  • Create, document, and implement unit test plans, scripts, and test harnesses.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation using defined templates.
  • Develop new software and maintain existing legacy software.
  • Provide technical assistance in supporting pre-sales, sales, and professional services departments, including direct technical support to customers.

Project Planning

  • Establish and define the execution plan with set priorities and goals, considering stakeholder inputs and strategic direction.
  • Determine project schedules and delivery dates with the Technical Lead.
  • Manage and monitor timeframes based on project schedules to ensure successful delivery.

    • Project Execution and Monitoring

  • Implement agile and Scrum methodologies to manage projects effectively.
  • Manage projects by providing direction, delegating tasks, and monitoring outcomes.
  • Implement structures to manage product execution from requirements analysis to final delivery.
  • Provide feedback to stakeholders on project progress and execution.

    • Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Sage X3 software development.
  • A completed BCom, BSc degree, or equivalent tertiary qualification is preferred.
  • The successful candidate will have a strong drive for results and success, with the willingness to see tough tasks through to completion under tight deadlines.
  • A strong interest in software and consulting is an advantage.
