Maintenance Technician

Purpose

The main purpose of this position is to fill the complete maintenance function of the entire facility, this will include but not limited to the monitoring and reporting of the refrigeration systems, maintenance of the sub-ambient facilities, management and control of assets, building upkeep to ensure a safe and compliant operational functionality of the site while remaining within budget

Reporting to : Group Maintenance Specialist and Cold Store Manager

Responsibilities

EFFECTIVE MONITORING AND REPORTING OF REFRIGERATION SYSTEMS

• Inspect the plant daily.
• Check the service detail preventative sheets.
• Repair any scheduled and un-scheduled repairs.
• Calibrate and verify the measuring equipment.
• Record and document all the activities events and concerns.

UPKEEP AND MAINTAIN BUILDING AND FACILITIES

2.1. Painting

2.2. Plastering

2.3. Pluming

2.4. Electrical devices and appliances.

3.Service and upkeep the security gate and fencing.

4.Arrange and report on major maintenance projects.

5.Reporting on and budget for all facilities and building expenses.

FULL MAINTENANCE OF THE SUB AMBIENT FACILITY

ASSET MANAGEMENT AND CONTROL

MAINTAIN AND ADHERE TO ALL AUDIT PREPARATION AND COMMUNICATION

Report and attend to any findings or concerns.

ASSURANCE OF SAFETY AND COMPLIANCE OF REGULATION STIPULATIONS .

MAINTAIN AND ADHERE TO ALL AUDIT PREPARATION AND COMMUNICATION.

ASSURE ENERGY EFFICIENCY AT ALL TIMES

ADHERE TO AND MAINTAIN MAINTENANCE BUDGET .

Requirements : Qualification :

Minimum : N4 - Matric (NQF)

Preferred : N5 N6 (Electrical, Mechanical, Refrigeration), Red seal certified. Millwright Matric

Experience :

Minimum : 5 years with preferred qualification. 10 years without the preferred qualification.

Preferred : +5 years with preferred qualification with red seal certification

Accreditations / Registered bodies

Legal requirements :

Valid Code B drivers license

Other :

Medical fit with clear criminal record
