Job descriptionCreate and revise detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings and models using SolidWorks Interpret engineering specifications for vehicle structures, including frames, chassis, cladding, and electrical diagrams Prepare comprehensive layout, assembly, and part drawings for various components Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure design accuracy and manufacturability Ensure all drawings comply with relevant industry standards (SABS, ISO, OEM, NCRS)
Our client, a leading manufacturer within the South African automotive sector, is seeking a skilled Draughtsman to join their dynamic team at their plant in Pretoria West. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing detailed technical drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks, playing a critical role in the design and manufacturing process for heavy vehicles.
Essential Experience :
- We will only consider candidates with a background in buses, minibuses, trucks, trailers, or other Original Heavy Vehicle Manufacturing (OHM)
- National Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting Technology, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience as a Draughtsman within the relevant automotive manufacturing industry
- High proficiency in SolidWorks
