IP Paralegal (Trademarks) – International Intellectual Property Law Firm | Remote

An international intellectual property law firm is seeking an experienced IP Paralegal (Trademarks) to join their global team. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely, supporting international attorneys and clients on high-level trademark prosecution, filings, and portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and instruct foreign trademark applications, ensuring compliance with international IP laws and regulations.
• Prepare cost estimates, invoicing, and financial reports, maintaining full transparency and accuracy.
• Draft and file trademark applications, schedules, and supporting documents per client and jurisdictional requirements.
• Act as a primary client liaison, managing instructions and correspondence with attorneys and foreign counsel.
• Maintain and monitor trademark and patent databases, tracking deadlines and application statuses.
• Review and process incoming correspondence, ensuring timely updates and accurate docketing.
• Conduct preliminary trademark searches and assist with quality assurance on new filings.
• Manage and capture IP data, certificates, and official documents for internal systems and client records.
• Prepare and coordinate affidavits, declarations, assignments, power of attorneys, notarizations, and legalizations.
• Oversee monthly reporting, document management, and electronic filing of IP-related records.
• Provide full administrative and procedural support to attorneys across trademarks, patents, and domain matters.

Experience & Qualifications:

• LLB or Paralegal Diploma essential.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in trademark law and intellectual property practice.
• Proven background in invoicing, financial processes, and cost tracking.
• Strong knowledge of trademark procedures, filings, and renewals.
• Advanced MS Office (Word & Excel) proficiency.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organisation, and communication skills.
• Analytical mindset and ability to handle complex IP portfolios independently.
• Portuguese speaking candidates is highly advantageous
