ISTA Personnel Solutions South Africa - we are a global BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) company, partnering with a leading provider of healthcare staffing solutions based in the USA.

Are you an expert in Power Query, M Language, and DAX?

Do you have a passion for developing custom solutions in Excel that drive business insights?

We are looking for a skilled Power Query Developer to join our team and contribute to excellence in data-driven decision-making, with a primary focus on Power Query in Excel.

PLEASE NOTE :

  • Working Hours : This role requires you to work EST hours Mon - Fri from 9am to 6pm EST (15h00 to 24h00 South African time - subject to change dependant on daylight savings)
  • Internet Requirements : A fixed fibre line with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps (upload & download) and the ability to support a wired Ethernet connection is mandatory. Applicants without a fixed fibre line cannot be considered.
  • Power Backup : A reliable power backup solution is required to manage load shedding and power outages . Applicants without a power backup cannot be considered.
  • Work Environment : This is a fully remote working role.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop and optimize advanced Power Query solutions using custom M Language , primarily within Excel.
  • Design and implement KPI dashboards with a focus on automation and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver tailored solutions in Excel.
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reports and dashboards

    • Requirements

  • Extensive experience with Power Query and custom M Language development , with a strong focus on Excel.
  • Strong background in KPI dashboard design , development, and automation, especially within Excel.
  • Proficiency in DAX and experience with Power BI is an added benefit
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, with extensive use of Power Query.
  • Strong Design Experience will be advantageous.

  • Excellent written English skills – Ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented – Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining focus and quality.
  • Strong time management skills – Capable of prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative mindset – Works well within a team while also being able to take ownership of projects.
