Job descriptionAn opportunity has arisen for a Semi-Skilled Mechanic who is able to work independently on jobs. The Semi-Skilled Mechanic will be required to conduct more complex repairs, use fault-finding equipment, choose alternative ways of carrying out tasks, operate electrical and mechanical equipment and may be required to do jobs such as basic welding. The successful candidate will be one who is not fully qualified as an Artisan but, could over a period of time do a trade test and qualify as such. Grade 12 / Matric / NQF level 4 3 years of mechanical experience working with trucks, trailers, LDV’s and excavators Adhere to safe working procedures Needs to have a valid driver's license Minimum Code 8 (B) Needs to have own transport Must be able to work shifts, overtime and on weekends Complete services / maintenance to trucks, trailers, LDV’s and excavators Conduct regular inspections of mechanical components Attend to breakdowns Adhere to safe working procedures Complete job cards and service logs 2025 / 10 / 16 Engineering / Technical jobs
