Job descriptionPhD in Language Education. A minimum qualification in either Senior Phase teaching or PGCE majoring in isiXhosa education. Experience in curriculum design at both undergraduate levels, specifically for isiXhosa, and at postgraduate level, for isiXhosa Education. Relevant experience in school and higher education training. Experience of supervision in programmes in teaching and learning of isiXhosa or African languages at postgraduate level, including experience in successful supervision of several honours. Good administrative, interpersonal, and communication skills, and being prepared to be involved in departmental activities.
