Responsibilities

Design, develop, and oversee engineering designs, ensuring adherence to specifications, codes, and safety regulations.

Stamp, sign, and approve engineering documents and drawings in compliance with licensing requirements.

Lead or supervise multidisciplinary application and design teams, ensuring efficient project execution and timely delivery.

Prepare technical reports, cost estimates, and proposals for clients and stakeholders.

Conduct internal site visits, inspections, and evaluations to ensure work is progressing according to plan.

Analyse technical problems and develop innovative, practical engineering solutions.

Mentor and provide technical leadership within the organization.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.

Active Professional Engineering accreditation from ECSA.

Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering experience with pressure vessels.

Strong knowledge of applicable codes, standards (e.g. EN, ASME, SANS 347, PER), and regulations.

Proficient in design software and tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or equivalent.

Design verification with FEA.

Problem solving in rotating equipment environment.

Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.

Proficient in the use of MS Office and Navision / SAP.

Good interpersonal skills.

Customer orientated.

Presentation skills.
