Our client is a mechanical components manufacturer.

Job Description

You will be responsible for leading the Mechanical Design, R&D, Project Engineering, and Drawing Office functions.

  • Lead mechanical design and documentation for assemblies and components
  • Oversee R&D initiatives, including prototyping, testing, and innovation
  • Manage the Drawing Office, including CAD / PDM systems, drawing standards, BOMs, and ERP integration
  • Drive cross-functional project engineering and ISO‑aligned processes
  • Mentor and lead technical teams across multiple engineering functions

Qualifications

  • BSc / BEng / BTech Mechanical Engineering

    • Skills

  • A minimum of 8 years experience in mechanical design in manufacturing, including at least 3 years in a management role
  • Extensive experience in mechanical product development, CAD / PDM systems, ERP integration, and ISO 9001 design documentation compliance
  • CAD (Autodesk Inventor preferred), PDM (Vault), and ERP system experience

    • R850K – R1,2m CTC per annum
