Senior Analyst : Group Reporting & Analysis

We are looking to hire a Senior Analyst : Group Reporting & Analysis in our Group Finance Team. This role is based at our office in Illovo, Johannesburg.
Main purpose of the role :
The Senior Analyst : Group Reporting & Analysis is responsible for financial modelling , analysis , budgeting and forecasting , as well as financial reporting to support decision making in the group.
Main responsibilities :
Financial Analysis and Reporting
- Developing financial analysis techniques, models and methodologies that will be used to provide deep analysis of Group and Business Unit performance that will facilitate key executive decision making.
- Analyse financial information and trends to assist business profitability and growth and overall financial performance.
- Delivery of competitor analysis, market trends and associated commentary to the Leadership team.
- Lead the development, design and implementation of new processes, tools and systems, for the above analysis.
Budgeting and Forecasting
Responsible for supporting the budgeting and forecasting process for the group including process management, monitoring, analysis and roll-ups of forecasting.Manage the integration of key processes, systems and data to allow development of wholistic business plans and analyses that informs the planning decision and setting of strategic targets.Management Accounting and Reporting
Prepare accurate and timeous monthly and quarterly reporting packs to the relevant boards and committees.Provide decision support services to senior management by preparing relevant information, analysing the information and considering various scenarios (predictive analytics).Review processes and financial reporting requirements and recommend improvements to enhance the effectiveness of the financial reporting and decision making at group.Responsible for driving processes to automate management reporting.Assume an active role in developing and enhancing the Business Intelligence platform, dashboards (on various platforms) and business KPI’s to provide insight into the various businesses and the group’s financial performance.Requirements
A completed CIMA or CA(SA) qualification.Professional Experience
At least 6 to 8 years’ experience in a similar role.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.Experience in the mining industry will be advantageous.Analytical skills, analysis and interpretation of resultsExcellent communication skills (both written & verbal) with the ability to clearly communicate on all levels in the organisation.Methodical approach, precision and accuracy#J-18808-Ljbffr
