Are you seeking your next international assignment? Our global Oil & Gas client is offering an excellent opportunity for a 1st Assistant to join the Courselles Project to coordinate work and manpower on board for the assigned shift in compliance with Project specifications, in order to ensure efficient performance and respecting HSE and Quality procedures and practices. Based in Netherlands .
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the offshore construction manager with regard to interdisciplinary coordination of all works on board.
- Supervise the team of foremen and supervisors, with regard to the various disciplines / categories of construction and assembly work, in order to comply with the quality and safety standard.
- Ensure that the offshore construction manager is kept fully informed of potential problems and construction status.
- Liaise with Chief Mate, 2nd Engineer and Vessel Equipment Engineer in order to ensure preventive maintenance and construction activities.
- Liaise with subcontractors\' supervisors to optimize production.
- Ensure that the permit-to-work system for construction crew is adhered to and ensures that the daily toolbox talks and JSA, if required, are carried out according to the procedures.
- Motivate all construction crew / subcontractors with regards to health, safety and environment awareness.
- Report incidents and near-miss events.
- Manage the Crane operations, including coordination with the Chief Mate for main crane movements on board, ROV launching and underwater operations.
- Assist marine operations if required.
- Assist the Vessel Field Engineer in the follow up of project equipment and consumable, operation and monitoring of the stinger and JLT.
Qualifications and Skills
Preferably a technical high school diploma or degree in civil, mechanical, electrical, or naval engineering.Minimum 6–7 years in the oil & gas industry.At least 4 years in a supervisory or 1st Assistant role.English proficiency (minimum B1 level).Offshore safety certifications (e.g., BOSIET, HUET) may be required.To apply for this opportunity please email our exceptional recruitment consultant Tanya De Bruyn at / or apply via the link below.
