CORE PURPOSE
- To provide academic support and assistance to the Curriculum Department by assisting with the various academic processes and administration with regards to existing programmes and modules within the department to ensure that MANCOSA meets its strategic objectives and goals.
CORE FUNCTIONS
Coordinate and provide academic guidance for the module review and update processes for the content update and moderation of existing Module GuidesConduct sourcing and contracting of appropriate Programme Advisory Members, Module Guide Reviewers, Module Guide Updaters and Module Guide ModeratorsProvide professional academic feedback to Module Guide Reviewers, Updaters, and Moderators, thereby ensuring alignment to MANCOSA’s and regulatory body standardsTrack documents as per Existing Programmes and Modules processesAccurately compile Curriculum Structures, Programme Information Sheets, Programme Information Sheet Supplements, Prescribed and Recommended Readings Lists for Existing Programmes and Modules while maintaining quality and consistency as per the Department’s requirements and standardsCompilation of Existing Programmes and Modules ReportsEfficiently schedule and coordinate meetings and interviewsProfessionally communicate with internal and external stakeholdersContribute to the achievement of student success via engaging and solving curriculum related student queries and ensuring Module Guides are of a high-quality standard per intakeCoordinate formatting and layout editing on Module Guides as per the formatting requirementsComplete digitising of Module Guides as per requirements to maintain quality and consistency on the Curriculum Development and Management SystemParticipate in regulatory body activitiesAssist during Departmental and institutional functions / eventsIndependently study to ensure ongoing professional development to upgrade knowledge in field of expertiseQUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Qualification : Honours or Postgraduate Diploma (NQF Level 8) or Masters (NQF level 9)EXPERIENCE
Essential experience : At least 1-2 year’s higher education work experience, and understanding of curriculum and regulatory compliancePreferred experience : At least 1-2 year’s higher education work experience, and Understanding of curriculum and regulatory complianceRELATED KNOWLEDGE, COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS
