Job Description

  • Dis-Chem Pharmacies Midrand has an opportunity available for a UI / UX Developer. Development, maintenance and improvement of CJ Marketing’s client projects in mostly WordPress, including the MERN Stack.

    • Minimum Requirements

    Essential :

  • Grade 12 – Matric or a Senior Certificate.
  • BSc in Computer science, Computer Engineering or related
  • 3+ years of professional experience in front-end development
  • Cloud Certification (AWS, Google, Azure)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with PHP and PHP frameworks, web services

    • Job Description

  • Develop, test, and maintain high-quality front-end code for the web
  • Work closely with designers to bring UI mockups to life with pixel-perfect accuracy
  • Optimize applications for speed, performance, and scalability
  • Ensure cross-platform and cross-browser compatibility
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation
  • Stay up-to-date on front-end trends and best practices
  • Strong competency of the use of custom post types.

    • Competencies :

  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript / JQuery and WordPress / PHP
  • Solid understanding of responsive design and accessibility standards
  • Professional experience in front-end development that can convert transactions from users.
  • Communicate in a confident and forceful manner in order to achieve the required goal without being aggressive.
  • Builds constructive working relationships characterised by a high level of acceptance, cooperation, and mutual respect.
  • Attention to detail. Accuracy. Diligently attend to details and pursues quality in accomplishing tasks. Correct mistakes and takes action to ensure they do not re-occur.
  • Focuses on results and desired outcomes and how best to achieve them. Adapts to changing business needs, conditions, and work responsibilities. Coordinates ideas and resources to achieve goals. Sets priorities. Schedules activities.
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Computer Skills – Microsoft Office : Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript / JQuery and WordPress / PHP. Proficiency in developing in React Advantage : Access, RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
