Accountant

Minimum requirements :

• BCom Finance degree (preferred) or proven experience as an Accountant
• Minimum of 8 years experience in a similar position
• Proficient in Pastel Accounting and Pastel Payroll
• Broad accounting knowledge covering all aspects of finance, including :
• Bookkeeping to trial balance
• Reconciliations (bank, debtors, creditors, etc.)
• Payroll processing and statutory submissions
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Fluent in Afrikaans (written and spoken)
• Key Responsibilities :
• Manage full accounting function from bookkeeping to trial balance
• Prepare and process monthly reconciliations
• Handle payroll administration and ensure compliance with statutory requirements
• Maintain accurate financial records and reports
• Assist with preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial statements
• Liaise with auditors, suppliers, and other stakeholders as required
• Provide financial support and advice to management
