Grow sales through constant customer interaction, costing of building plans, and issuing customers with accurate quotations. Ensure housekeeping and merchandising standards are maintained at all times, and deliver a cost‑effective and efficient delivery service.
Responsibilities
- Issuing and following up quotations to generate sales.
- Quote process and control of special orders.
- Reading building plans and ensuring quotations are correct and within agreed timeframe.
- Managing telephone calls, ensuring follow‑ups.
- Conducting competitor analysis.
- Communicating bulk deposit transfers to customers.
- Promoting loyalty programs (VIC and Charge Card customers).
- Managing delivery service, ensuring correct rates and timely dispatch.
- Communicating delayed deliveries with customers and arranging solutions.
- Managing the customer service desk and resolving complaints.
- Ensuring all calls answered within required time.
- Managing the “Ready for Business” checklists and processes.
- Implementing price changes and planograms.
- Ensuring presence and backup of general assistants, sales advisors, and forklift drivers.
- Monitoring safety standards and equipment usage.
- Maintaining security awareness and password security.
- Upholding values such as integrity, accuracy, client focus, and personal development.
Requirements
Grade 12 plus 5 (five) years related experience or a minimum of 10 years’ work related experience.Plan reading experience would be advantageous.Ability to communicate in English and the dominant language spoken in the geographical area.Above average numeric skills.Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service.Proven ability to work under pressure.Must be computer literate.Proven strong organising, planning, and delegation skills.Seniority level
