Overview
The Counsel will serve as a legal advisor for United Exports Group companies, providing litigation support and strategic guidance on commercial law, licensing, and compliance matters across multiple countries. The role will focus on protecting the company’s legal interests, enabling growth into international markets, and managing legal risks across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Performance Outputs
- Commercial Law & Contracts : Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements across multiple jurisdictions (licensing, distribution, supply, JV, and corporate finance transactions). Provide legal support on acquisitions, partnerships, and corporate structuring while ensuring compliance with international regulations.
- Intellectual Property (IP) : Protect and commercialise plant-based IP rights and trademarks. Oversee IP compliance, enforcement, and contractual use in local and international markets.
- Litigation : Lead and manage disputes and litigation across jurisdictions, including strategy, risk assessment, and external counsel management.
- International Legal Advisory : Monitor and interpret global trade laws and regulations, advising on their impact on business operations.
- Risk, Governance & Compliance : Identify and mitigate legal risks, implement governance frameworks, and ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
Qualifications / Experience
LLB degree or equivalent; admission as an attorney / advocate.Minimum of 10 years plus of commercial legal experience.What You’ll Bring
