Job descriptionMinimum of 5 years of experience as a band leader or musical director Extensive knowledge and experience in various music genres and styles Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment Experience in recruiting, training, and managing a team of musicians Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills Willingness to live and work on board a cruise ship for extended periods of time Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus) Valid passport and able to obtain necessary visas for international travel
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and direct the band during live performances in the Music Hall, ensuring high-quality and engaging performances
- Collaborate with other entertainment staff to create a diverse and entertaining lineup of performances
- Recruit, train, and manage a team of musicians to ensure a high level of talent and professionalism
- Create and maintain set lists and ensure the band is well-rehearsed and prepared for each performance
- Work with the ship's sound and lighting technicians to ensure a smooth and seamless production
- Maintain a positive and professional relationship with guests and address any concerns or issues that may arise during performances
- Ensure all equipment and instruments are properly maintained and in good working condition
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures while onboard the cruise ship
