Diesel Mechanic

Key Responsibilities

• Inspecting and Diagnosing : Conduct thorough inspections of diesel engines, mechanical components, and related systems to identify issues.
• Performing Repairs : Repair or replace worn or defective parts and components, including engines, transmissions, brake systems, and electrical components.
• Preventative Maintenance : Carry out scheduled maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
• Using Diagnostic Equipment : Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and computer-controlled equipment to diagnose faults.
• Record Keeping : Accurately record all services, repairs, parts used, and maintenance performed.
• Safety Compliance : Follow all safety protocols, wear appropriate safety apparel, and maintain a safe and organized work environment.
• Parts Management : Manage and inventory tools, parts, and other necessary equipment.
• Communication : Liaise with team members, supervisors, and potentially clients to ensure effective workflow and problem resolution.
