Revenue Accountant

Overview
Ten is a public, B Corp‑listed company focused on delivering a world‑class service‑business experience across lifestyle, travel, dining and entertainment. The company is expanding its shared service centre in Cape Town to support growth in new clients and associated revenue accounting. You will play a key role in the end‑to‑end capture and reporting of corporate client revenue while driving process excellence during a transformation to digital finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Record to receipt of all revenue transactions from our corporate clients, working closely with finance, account management and regional stakeholders.
- Understand and map the end‑to‑end process of record to receipt for corporate revenue across all Ten companies.
- Interpret the pricing and billing structures of corporate contracts and their variables.
- Prepare monthly billing and revenue (P&L), FX and VAT accounting in a timely manner as part of the month‑end timetable.
- Coordinate with external accountants when accounting is outsourced.
- Monitor corporate accounts receivable weekly and follow up on overdue debts.
- Update operational cash flow forecasts for corporate revenue receipts each week.
- Prepare monthly reconciliations of P&L clients, balance sheet accounts, accrued revenue and deferred revenue, highlighting risks and opportunities.
- Build trust and rapport with global account management and business development functions.
- Document and maintain cross‑departmental processes to achieve revenue reporting objectives.
- Support inter‑company billing pass‑throughs where cash is collected by other Ten companies.
- Collaborate with auditors on a timely basis.
- Produce and maintain the Group Revenue reporting manual.
- Support queries across the Group.
- Perform additional miscellaneous tasks as required within the shared service centre.
Your Profile
ACCA / ACA or a finance & accounting qualification.Minimum 2 years of experience in revenue, accrued revenue, deferred income and accounts receivable.Strong understanding of financial accounting, systems, processes and controls (accounting qualification preferred or proven by experience).Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI (not mandatory).Experience with Microsoft Business Central accounting system (not mandatory).Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce (not mandatory).Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across departments.Willingness to investigate, challenge and improve information and actions where appropriate.Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workload.Location
Based in Cape Town – required to commute to the office at least 2 days a week.
