Job description

Qualifications :

  • A Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant bookkeeping experience.
  • Experience with Sage 300, Accpac & Pastel is essential.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Establish and maintain various financial accounts.
  • Accurately record and verify financial transactions.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures.
  • Create and manage a comprehensive chart of accounts.
  • Post, verify, and allocate transactions in subsidiary accounts.
  • Reconcile subsidiary accounts to ensure consistency.
  • Maintain a balanced and accurate general ledger.
  • Prepare trial balances for review by the financial accountant.
  • Compile, analyze, and summarize financial data for reporting purposes.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and report on variances from budget projections.
  • Advise management on compliance needs.
  • Assist with additional financial and accounting tasks as required.
