Field Technician - Fitness Equipment (JB)

This role combines mechanical, electrical, and IT / networking expertise in a hands‑on, client‑facing position where every day brings a new technical challenge. In this role, you will install, maintain, and repair advanced fitness equipment to international standards. This includes both mechanical assembly and digital setup, ensuring all equipment is networked correctly for monitoring and software updates. The role is highly practical, requiring a technician who enjoys physical work, customer interaction, and continuous technical learning. Candidates with experience in assembly, configuration and maintenance of equipment would be well‑suited to this role.
Minimum Requirements
Suitably qualified in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or Software / Network Configuration (non‑negotiable)2–3 years' experience in repairs / maintenance of technical equipment (e.g., fitness, printers, copiers, air‑conditioning, or similar)Valid driver's license (company vehicle provided for daily service calls)Proficient in mechanical and electronic troubleshootingConfident with network and digital system configurationStrong communication skills and teamwork orientationCustomer‑focused, reliable, and able to represent the brand professionallyPhysically fit and comfortable performing manual, hands‑on workFast learner who embraces e‑learning and hands‑on technical trainingKey Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance and repair of fitness equipment according to manufacturer standardsAssemble, install, and test mechanical and electronic componentsDiagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and digital / software faultsConfigure network connections (Wi‑Fi or LAN) for connected systemsComplete service reports accurately and legiblyMaintain high First‑Time Fix Rates (FTFR) (target : %)Provide customer support (on‑site, telephonic, and email)Complete ongoing e‑learning certifications (Level 1–3) for equipment and digital diagnosticsEnsure proper care and maintenance of tools, company vehicles, and partsSupport colleagues on larger installations and ensure excellent client satisfactionPlease do not apply using scanned CVs; no supporting documentation is required at this point, this will be requested later.
