Future Careers is recruiting an experienced and dynamic Principal on behalf of a leading independent education group.
This pivotal leadership role is responsible for the operational and academic management of a private high school / college in Pretoria East, ensuring the delivery of academic excellence, staff development, and an exceptional student experience. The Principal is accountable for managing the overall operations and performance of the school.
This includes strategic planning, academic quality assurance, financial management, and maintaining strong relationships with students, parents, and staff.
The successful candidate will ensure alignment with the group's values, policies, and standards while fostering a positive, high‑achieving environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
Desired Experience & Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in Education or equivalent qualification (NQF 7).
Postgraduate qualification (NQF 8) in Management, Policy Development, or Curriculum Development advantageous.
Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or B.Ed.
Degree required. SACE registration essential. Minimum of 8 years' teaching experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management position within a high school or college environment. Proven leadership and organisational skills with the ability to manage a diverse team. Strong communication, relationship management, and problem‑solving abilities. Excellent planning, time management, and attention to detail. Proficient in MS Office and educational management systems.
