Collections Team Manager

About Randify Randify is an ambitious microlending startup, dedicated to providing responsible and accessible credit solutions to South Africans. As we prepare for our market entry, we are looking for a hands-on and experienced Collections Team Manager to establish and lead our inbound and outbound collections function. This is a unique opportunity to build a high-performance team from the ground up and shape the collections strategy from day one. Position Overview Were looking for a hands-on, results-driven leader to manage a team of call centre agents focused on collections. This role requires strong dialler management experience, excellent coaching ability, and a deep understanding of short term / pay day loans collections strategy and compliance. Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and motivate a team of agents handling inbound and outbound collections calls.
• Drive daily, weekly, and monthly performance targets (e.g. PTPs, kept rate, call quality, productivity).
• Manage and optimise dialler campaigns to ensure maximum penetration and efficiency.
• Conduct real-time monitoring and performance reviews, providing coaching and support.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines (e.g. NCR) and company policies.
• Handle escalated queries and ensure professional resolution.
• Compile and present performance reports to senior management.
• Foster a high-performance, goal-oriented team culture. Minimum Requirements
• Matric (Grade 12) is essential. Diploma or Degree is an added advantage
• Minimum 2 years experience in a Team Leader / Manager role within a short term loans collections environment.
• Proven track record managing both inbound and outbound collections teams.
• Experience managing and optimising dialler systems (e.g. Genesys, Excalibur, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of microlending, debt recovery, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and call centre reporting tools.
• Ability to thrive under pressure and lead a results-focused team.
