Validation Specialist

Our client is currently looking for a Model Validation Analyst (Decision Science) to join their Model Validation team based in Stellenbosch . This team plays a vital role in ensuring the robustness and accuracy of models used across credit risk, finance, fraud detection, and capital management.

This role offers exposure to multiple areas of the business, the opportunity to build challenger models, and the chance to challenge modelling approaches used across the bank. If you’re a critical thinker with experience in scorecard development and model validation, then this could be your next career-defining move.

Key Responsibilities

• Validate credit risk and marketing scorecards to ensure that models are accurate, reliable, and compliant with internal and external standards.
• Build and implement challenger models using data mining and predictive modelling techniques.
• Provide input into the governance and monitoring of models throughout the credit lifecycle.
• Collaborate with modelling teams and business stakeholders to provide challenge and assurance during model reviews.
