More about the project : The candidate will be involved in the implementation of number of optimization and strategic projects that are currently in the parking lot throughout the duration of the contract.

Job Description / Responsibilities : Application Development : Designing, coding, testing, and debugging mainframe applications. System Maintenance : Modifying and enhancing existing mainframe applications to improve performance and functionality.

Collaboration : Working with other developers, system engineers, and business analysts to deliver high-quality solutions.

Troubleshooting : Diagnosing and resolving issues within mainframe systems and applications.

Documentation : Creating and maintaining technical documentation, including design specifications, code documentation, and user manuals.

Testing : Conducting unit testing, system testing, and supporting integration testing.

Deployment : Assisting with the deployment of applications and systems into production environments.

Modernization : Contributing to the modernization and integration of mainframe systems with newer technologies.

Background and experience required : Must have 5 years or more working in IMS environment (IBM Mainframe) using COBOL programming

2 years or more knowledge of payment systems

Must-have Skills (Mandatory Skills) : COBOL programming, Eazytrieve, JCL, IMS Database

Beneficial Skills (Desired Skills) : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve issues.

Understanding of mainframe architecture, operating systems (like z / OS), and associated tools.

Ability to create and maintain clear and concise technical documentation.

Experience with various testing methodologies, including unit testing, integration testing, and system testing.
