SUMMARY : POSITION INFO :

Are you a detail-oriented professional with a knack for overseeing silo operations?

Our Client are seeking a skilled Mill Silo Operations Controller to manage and enhance their silo systems. In this crucial role, you will oversee the storage, handling, and quality control of grain products, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to safety and efficiency standards.

Minimum requirements :

  • Matric or equivalent to NQF 4
  • Full Spectrum Grain Grader qualification
  • 2 years' managerial experience
  • 5 years' extensive operational experience in a Grain Silo Storage Facility
  • Valid Fumigation P Number
  • Experience in Fumigation
  • Fluent in Afrikaans and English
  • Valid driver license and own transport

    • Duties and responsibilities :

  • Plans, direct, and co-ordinates the intake and storage operations within the organisation by achieving operational objectives through service excellence
  • Monitor and ensure that all material sent to the silo meets the required quality standard as stipulated in the Agricultural Product Standards Act No. 119 of 1990
  • Achieve the monthly raw material target by planning the monthly tonnage and scheduling the daily intake
  • Develop a traceability plan of all the products received by capturing the details of the origin, location of storage and end recipient
  • Develop a program to monitor and control infestation in and around the silos and enforce adherence
