Job description

This role calls for a creative and inspirational leader with the drive to deliver at the highest level of gastronomy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership : Define and implement the hotel’s culinary vision in line with our brand promise.
  • Team Leadership : Motivate and mentor a talented brigade across restaurants, banqueting, room service, and events.
  • Menu Development : Curate seasonal menus that celebrate both local and global culinary influences.
  • Quality Standards : Deliver consistency, innovation, and excellence in every dish.
  • Operational Management : Partner with F&B, Events, and Procurement teams to ensure seamless service.
  • Financial Oversight : Manage food costs, budgeting, and supplier relationships.
  • Talent Development : Recruit, train, and inspire chefs, cultivating a culture of growth and accountability.
  • Health & Safety : Ensure strict compliance with HACCP and all hygiene standards.
  • Event Support : Oversee bespoke culinary experiences for VIP functions and large-scale events.
  • Sustainability : Drive eco-friendly practices and responsible sourcing.
  • Guest Engagement : Interact with guests, gathering feedback to enhance experiences.

Requirements

  • Formal culinary qualification or equivalent professional training
  • 8–10 years of progressive culinary experience
  • 3–5 years in a senior role (Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef) within a luxury hotel
  • Preferred Skills

  • Visionary leadership with expertise in fine dining and global cuisines
  • Strong organizational, financial, and supplier management skills
  • Proficiency in kitchen management systems
  • Creativity, innovation, and a keen eye for detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team-building ability
  • Experience in high-volume, high-end service environments
