Kendrick Recruitment is currently hiring a  Wellness Center & Recreation Manager  for a luxury property located in the Serengeti. This full-time position offers the opportunity to manage a high-end Wellness Center while also providing therapeutic services to guests. The ideal candidate will combine leadership with hands-on experience, overseeing all aspects of wellness operations and ensuring exceptional guest experiences in a serene environment.

Position Overview :

The  Wellness Center & Recreation Manager  will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Wellness Center, including the Spa, Pool, Gym, and Yoga areas. In this dual role, you will lead and manage the team, ensuring operational excellence while delivering therapeutic treatments and personalized wellness services. You will also work closely with various departments to maintain high standards and contribute to the property's overall guest experience.

Key Responsibilities :

Management Duties :

  • Oversee daily operations of the Spa, Gym, Pool, and Yoga areas, ensuring all services are delivered at the highest standard.
  • Manage the recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations of Wellness Center staff.
  • Develop and implement wellness policies and procedures to comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain an organized and clean Wellness Center at all times, adhering to operational and safety standards.
  • Develop and maintain a professional product program for the Wellness Center.
  • Coordinate with other departments (e.g., engineering) to ensure the maintenance of Wellness Center equipment.
  • Handle guest complaints or special requests promptly, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor competition to stay informed on industry trends and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Regularly assess employee performance and provide coaching and development opportunities.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships for the Wellness Center.

Therapeutic Services :

  • Provide a range of treatments including massages, facials, body wraps, and other wellness therapies tailored to individual client needs.
  • Foster a welcoming and relaxing environment for clients, ensuring a personalized and professional service.

    • Client Relations :

  • Handle client inquiries, feedback, and concerns to ensure satisfaction and enhance the guest experience.
  • Create and promote wellness programs, workshops, and events to engage guests.

    • Sales and Marketing :

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to increase bookings for therapies, retail products, and wellness services.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote the Wellness Center’s services and attract guests.

    • Financial Management :

  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance monitoring for the Wellness Center.
  • Track and manage inventory levels, ensuring adherence to purchasing standards.

    • Facility Management :

  • Ensure the Spa, Gym, Pool, and Yoga areas are maintained to the highest cleanliness and operational standards.

    • Requirements :

  • Proven experience in Wellness Center management, including spa, gym, and recreational facilities.
  • A background in providing therapeutic treatments such as massage, facials, and body wraps.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and operational standards in wellness facilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage client relations and team dynamics.
  • Sales and marketing experience, with the ability to drive revenue through promotions and upselling strategies.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as required by guest needs, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.
