ROLE SUMMARY :

  • We are seeking a passionate and experienced College EMS and Accounting Teacher to join our dynamic academic team from January 2026. The successful candidate will teach EMS (Grades 8–9) and Accounting up to Grade 12, inspiring students to think critically, apply knowledge meaningfully, and achieve their full potential.
  • You will play an active role in fostering a stimulating learning environment that promotes academic curiosity, integrity, and confidence, while contributing to the broader life of the school community.
  • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging lessons in EMS and Accounting in line with IEB standards.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation, curiosity, and excellence.
  • Set, mark, and moderate assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback to students.
  • Evaluate and refine teaching practice through reflection and professional development.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, sharing best practices and contributing to departmental initiatives.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with parents, responding to correspondence within 24 hours.
  • Participate in school events, assemblies, and meetings as required by the Head of Campus.
  • Uphold the school’s values and maintain the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
  • THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE :

  • A relevant university degree in EMS, Accounting, or a related field.
  • SACE certification and the right to work in South Africa.
  • Proven experience teaching EMS (Grades 8–9) and Accounting to Grade 12.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ teaching experience within the relevant phase.
  • Strong familiarity with the IEB curriculum.
  • Previous experience in a high-performing or international school environment.
  • A passion for teaching and an unwavering commitment to student development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Outstanding planning, organisational, and classroom management abilities.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive attitude to change and innovation.
  • A continuous improvement mindset and commitment to professional growth.
  • Genuine care for student welfare and enthusiasm for contributing to the wider school community.
