Responsibilities
- Management of the prewash area and wash bay assistance & Team.
- Control, ordering and management of Gas bottles and chemicals.
- Responsible for the skips & scrap material
- Responsible to ensure that all the Bupi, Proceco’s, Ultrasonic cleaner, Pressure washers and Sandblasting machines are maintained and in a working condition.
- Manage the Hydraulic press and the power tools calibration in the entire disassembly area.
- End to end component stand Management.
- Management and control on the scrap components storage area
- BR core criteria identification on planning
- Assist with Express Lane component flow.
- Notify Maintenance on required Garden Services
- Updating of the planning system where required
- Management of re-usable and scrap precious Metal (E.g., Copper, brass etc)
- Achievement of cost centre financial targets and Key Performance Indicators
- Effective control of cost centre expenses and WIP
- Ensure effective communication between team and management.
- Ensure service work (Caterpillar components) is carried out in compliance with quality standards (OEM Guidelines)
- Apply warranty policies and procedures; this includes warranty decisions and service warranty
- Ensure outputs of service and safety audits are achieved.
- Apply Barloworld Equipment leadership philosophy.
- Achievement of a team environment that enables maximum productivity and profitability

Qualifications, Experience And Competencies
Grade 12Relevant trade (e.g., Diesel Mechanic / Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic) or any post matricMinimum five years’ experience after qualificationPrior supervisory experience will be an advantage.Exposure to managing a Team.Leadership potential (part of IDP)BRC Planning system knowledge.BBS exposure and understandingExperience with Caterpillar ComponentsAble to achieve results utilising talent in team.Computer literate (MS Office and SIS ET, SAP & CRM)Basic technical report writing skills.Basic trouble shooting and problem-solving skills.Failure analysis skills.Exposure to driving Safety requirements, policies and procedures.Understanding of warranty systems, policies & proceduresUnderstanding of the Quality processesWill be required to work overtime and Stand-bySound interpersonal and communication skills.Driver’s licenceQualification will be highly regarded.Seniority level
