Job descriptionProduct costing and tooling inventory reporting and maintenance - compare actual costs with estimates and analyse any variances. Prepare cost estimates / quotes for new products, customers and product changes. Update BOMs as necessary. Assist with stock counts. Load cost estimates / quotes into relevant systems. Assist with reconciliations / schedules. Maintain accurate records for old and new product costings. Manage inventory and product records. Provide audit information on a continuous basis.
Overview
Babylonstoren is looking for an exceptional Cost Accountant who is personable, detail-oriented, and dedicated to managing all aspects of a business's costing administration.
Requirements
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience in cost and management accounting, including analysis and reporting.
- A BCom degree or equivalent is preferred, and progress towards a CIMA qualification would be advantageous.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with experience in ERP systems and BOM. Familiarity with business intelligence software would be beneficial.
- Experience in a FMCG or production environment is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and departments.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- High level of accuracy and a meticulous work ethic.
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English.
