Job Description
Purpose : The purpose of this job is to drive sales growth and profitability in an assigned territory by selling products and services, sourcing new customers, and building strong relationships. This role aims to achieve customer satisfaction, sustainable business growth, and profit margins through effective sales strategies and excellent customer service.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Lead and manage a team of staff, overseeing recruitment, performance management and disciplinary proceduresAddress staffing issues, including conducting interviews, performance appraisals, and taking disciplinary action as requiredEnsure timely and professional resolution of customer complaints and commentsMaintain awareness of market trends and competitor activity within the retail industryPlan and allocate staff schedules and dutiesMonitor staff attendance and authorise leaveUphold health, safety, and customer service standardsHandle escalated customer complaints and issuesAuthorise price changes and staff purchasesOversee investigations into stock discrepancies and irregularitiesAttend and participate in management meetings and disciplinary enquiriesPromote and uphold company values and brandPrepare and submit the relevant reports to senior management, including SWOT analysisPerform additional tasks as assigned by superiorsREQUIREMENTS :
Matric or equivalentBusiness Management qualification or studying towards one5 years managerial experience10 years Hardware Retail experienceValid Drivers LiscenseAbility to Initiate and Chair Disciplinary InquiryChairing disciplinary enquiry would be an advantageTraining / Experience with Talent AcquisitionAbility to communicate clearly & effectively (verbal & written) at all levelsPlanning, time management & organising skillsMonitoring and evaluations skillsProblem solving & strong decision-making skillsAbility to understand relevant legislationGood customer service, interpersonal and organizational skillsExcellent team leader with lots of self-motivationComputer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office (Internet, E-mails, Word & Excel)Sales / Retail / Business Development jobs
