CSO is a community-based security and medical response organisation in Cape Town that serves the Jewish community.
Responsibilities
- Answer emergency calls and provide immediate support to callers.
- Log emergency calls.
- Dispatch relevant emergency services.
- Monitor security cameras and perform basic troubleshooting.
- Complete administrative duties, including record keeping.
Qualifications and Experience
Matric or equivalent; experience in high‑pressure call centre or EMS environment.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Excellent command of English (verbal and written).Excellent administration and organisational skills.Analytical and systems‑oriented with ability to follow policies and procedures.Flexible, self‑driven with strong attention to detail.Team‑oriented, calm under stress.Proactive, takes initiative to maintain high standards.Multitask and work autonomously while maintaining communication with the team.General Requirements
Good computer literacy (Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook).Comfortable working in a high‑pressure environment.Maintain confidentiality.Community volunteer‑driven and passionate about Cape Town Jewish Community.Willing to work day or night shifts, weekends, Shabbat, Yomtovim and public holidays.Knowledge of map systems and Cape Town streets advantageous.Clear Criminal and ITC Record.Code 8 Driver’s licence preferable.PSIRA Registration an advantage.Job Features
