Job descriptionEducation : Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related field. Experience : Minimum of 35 years in electrical and instrumentation engineering within industrial environments. Skills & Abilities : Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA systems, and industrial automation technologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities. Certifications : Registration as a Candidate Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) required. Additional certifications in automation or instrumentation technologies will be advantageous.
Key Objectives :
- Systems Design : Develop and design electrical and instrumentation systems based on project specifications.
- Installation & Commissioning : Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation equipment.
- Maintenance : Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure reliability and system uptime.
- Troubleshooting : Diagnose and resolve electrical and instrumentation issues effectively.
- Compliance & Safety : Ensure all work complies with South African safety regulations and industry standards.
- Documentation : Prepare detailed technical documentation, reports, and maintenance logs.
- Collaboration : Work closely with engineers, technicians, and cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
Qualifications & Experience :
Proficiency in design and simulation software.
