Overview

Freelance Linguistics Specialist – English to Xhosa. This is a remote, contract, task-based opportunity with Editage, the flagship brand of CACTUS.

Responsibilities

Review and refine text, translations, and captions across general areas such as travel, food, lifestyle, and finance
Transcribe conversations and perform quality checks
Label or annotate voice, text, or image content
Review and correct AI-generated outputs
Assist in localizing content for AI models

Qualifications

Near-native level proficiency in the Target Language (Xhosa) and a strong command of English

Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

Prior experience in translation, editing, or related language tasks is preferred
