Maintenance Fitter

Job descriptionGrade 12 and / or a recognised Trade Test Certificate (Red Seal) as a Fitter. Minimum 3 years’ experience in a production environment, preferably in beauty, FMCG, or related industries. Previous exposure to packing and filling equipment will be advantageous. Proficient in MS Excel and MS Access. Capable of compiling accurate maintenance reports. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with sound numeracy and literacy. Organised, punctual, and able to work under pressure. Team-oriented with good interpersonal skills and the ability to suggest improvements. Conduct production line changeovers with minimal disruption. Perform machine repairs, preventative maintenance, and minor adjustments. Support building maintenance and assist semi-skilled artisans with equipment repairs. Operate and monitor essential services (compressors, chillers) daily. Complete planned maintenance job cards, checklists, and defect reporting. Identify and report critical spares required for replacement or ordering. Liaise with suppliers / contractors to ensure compliance with company procedures Engineering / Technical jobs
