Description

Analyse and interpret aircraft blueprints, specifications, and maintenance manuals to perform repairs.

Prepare surfaces and apply protective coatings to a variety of materials used on the aircraft.

Fabricate parts as needed.

Conduct maintenance.

Order supplies, equipment, materials, and parts for repairs and routine maintenance.

Safely operate various tools used for sheet metal applications.

Install, repair, inspect, and replace sheet metal components on aircraft, including structural assemblies.

Requirements

Grade 12 or Equivalent (Essential);

Trade test Certificate (Aircraft Sheet Metal / Structures) (Essential) Licensed AME with a SACAA B rating (Essential);

Minimum of 5 years aviation experience (Essential);

Previous experience working on B737-800 (Essential);

Previous experience working on B737-8 (MAX) (Advantageous) OJT experience (Advantageous);

Valid South African passport holder;

Must be willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays, and overtime as and when required;

Must be available and willing to travel at short notice, both locally and internationally.
