Job Summary

Red & Yellow’s Online Education team is looking for an organised, self‑motivated, and driven Programme Manager with experience in Learning programme & course management and support.

The Programme Manager is required to be the customer front‑facing person and manage the operations of SETA accredited and other online programme delivery. As such, in this role, you will manage the end‑to‑end customer experience for the outlined scope of delivery for the assigned online programmes and in turn you will ultimately enhance the learning journeys of talented Red & Yellow students.

You will work closely with the other online academic faculty of programme managers, administrators and course coordinators.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Project manage the full scope of delivery of assigned SETA accredited learning programmes
  • Engage with large corporate clients alongside the relevant Business Relationship Manager to deliver a premium service experience
  • Manage programme application process including acceptance letters as required
  • Create programme rollout calendars and schedules
  • Ensure all programme schedules are updated and loaded on Moodle course sites
  • Enrol students on Moodle (LMS), ensure students receive login details as well as manage the onboarding and orientation process
  • Prepare registration letters as and when required
  • Ensure all relevant SETA processes and procedures are followed including admin and reports
  • Prepare and manage all learner Portfolio of Evidence Docs (PoE) for each programme with the guidance of the Manager of Online Education & the Academic administration team
  • Ensure timeliness delivery of programme content to students – weekly release of assignments, content, mailers, etc.
  • Troubleshoot any concerns including queries with the client or students, and elevate or direct where required
  • Regularly review and track student activity across the learning platform, attendance, submission rates and identify where support is required for students
  • Provide student support and coaching in the live virtual environment
  • Schedule Facilitators and Content Manager for workshops and tutorials, create zoom links and send out invites to learners and facilitators
  • Ensure all workshop information is updated on the course site, and workshop slides, activities and assessments are all loaded timeously
  • Prepare all communication and weekly mailers to students
  • Manage the marking and assessment process, including scheduling of markers, assessors, moderators and verification
  • Provide required modular or monthly status reports to clients
  • Keep Team Status Document trackers of all assigned programmes up to date including weekly programme progress updates
  • Schedule and attend regular progress and steerco meetings with clients / learners
  • Ensure all certificates and qualifications are awarded timeously and as contracted
  • Oversee assigned programme budgets and costs
  • Prepare post‑implementation and close‑out reports
  • Brief and oversee coordination and admin for junior staff
  • Build relationships with facilitator networks and relevant SETAs
  • Deliver a premium client and student experience

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree or Diploma in a related field of Learning and Development
  • 2-3 Years experience in a similar role managing learning programs and Setas
  • Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience of Google Suite, particularly Gmail, Google Sheets and Google Drive
  • Comfortable with Zoom and scheduling capabilities
  • Knowledge of SETAs and corporate training landscape (preference for MICT, Services and SABPP)
  • Experience in managing and / or coordinating academic programmes (MICT and Services SETA would be highly advantageous)
  • Evidence of successful verification for learnerships and skills programmes
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory body requirements (e.g. SAQA, DHET and CHE)
  • Advanced research skills
